Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

We collect the following. There is no place in the service to enter a name, email address, or phone number.

• Information entered and recorded in a room — the room name, player display names, each player's chip count, and a log of bet and take actions. All of this is shown to everyone who has the room open.
• IP address — the address you connect to the service from.
• Information stored in cookies — the player you last selected, your display language, and a session identifier (no login is involved).
• Usage information, such as which pages were viewed — see section 3.

2. How we use it

The information above is used for the following purposes.

• To run the service: showing the same chip state to everyone who has the room open.
• To prevent abuse: IP addresses are used briefly for a rate limit that stops large numbers of rooms being created in a short time. That record is held in memory only and is not written to the database.
• To investigate and fix problems when something breaks.
• To improve the service.

3. Analytics

To improve the service we use the analytics tool PostHog (PostHog Inc., United States). Usage information — which pages were viewed, which features were used, and what actions were taken on screen — is sent to PostHog's servers. Since there is no place in the service to enter a name, email address, or phone number, none of those are sent.

4. Error reporting

To find and fix defects we use the error monitoring tool Sentry (Functional Software, Inc., United States). When an error occurs, details of the error, the screen it happened on, and your browser type are sent to Sentry's servers.

5. Sharing and disclosure

By the nature of the service, everything recorded in a room — the room name, player display names, chip counts, and the log of chips placed and taken — is shown to everyone who has that room open.

As described in sections 3 and 4, usage information goes to PostHog and error information goes to Sentry.

If you choose to support the developer, you are taken to Ko-fi (Ko-fi Labs Ltd.) and its payment provider. What they do with your information is governed by their own policies. This service never receives payment details such as card numbers.

Except where required by law, we do not share information with any third parties other than those above.

6. Retention

Room data (room name, display names, chip counts) is currently not deleted automatically after any fixed period. That is why reopening the same URL later lets you carry on from where you left off.

The log of bet and take actions is capped at 1,000 entries per room; older entries beyond that are removed.

7. Disclaimer

The service links out to external sites, such as the developer's support page on Ko-fi. How those sites handle information is governed by their own policies, and the developer takes no responsibility for it.

8. Changes to this policy

This policy may be revised when necessary. A revised policy takes effect once posted on this page.
